Many states are transforming their health care delivery systems to improve health and wellbeing with a focus on addressing the needs of the communities they serve. Reducing health disparities — and addressing their social and economic causes — is at the heart of many of these efforts.

NASHP provides resources that showcase effective state efforts to achieve health equity, improve care, and prioritize addressing social drivers of health, such as access to safe and affordable housing. We also support emerging and aspiring state health policy leaders of color through our Emerging Leaders of Color Fellowship.
