Health and Housing Resource Center
Safe, stable, and affordable housing is necessary for people’s overall health and well-being. State leaders are working across sectors to increase access to affordable housing and related health, behavioral health, and social support services for people experiencing homelessness and people with complex care and housing needs.
NASHP convenes the Health and Housing Institute, which supports cross-sector teams of state policymakers to break down silos within states and better deploy resources to improve access to affordable housing as well as health outcomes. NASHP also supports a State-Only Health and Housing Learning Community that provides a platform for state health policymakers to learn from experts and one another about health and housing approaches at the state level.
This resource center is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
