As the major public payer and regulator for long-term services and supports, states are invested in finding new and innovative ways to provide care for older adults and people with disabilities while optimizing state spending and capacity. With a rapidly aging population, NASHP works with states to improve the health and wellbeing of older adults, adults with disabilities, people with serious illnesses, and their family caregivers, including innovations in Medicaid and long-term services and supports.
