The National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers, a roadmap released in 2022, has hundreds of action steps that public and private organizations at the local, state, and national level can take to better support caregivers. Since 2022, a range of states and organizations have developed supports for family caregiving in line with the National Strategy’s five goals, including strategies such as caregiver outreach campaigns and coordinating services and supports. The Administration for Community Living (ACL) recently awarded grants to multiple states to support implementation of the National Strategy and increase access and awareness. In this webinar, attendees will learn about new and ongoing activity to support the National Strategy at the federal and state levels from the Administration for Community Living, The John A. Hartford Foundation, and state administrators from the four states that received the first ACL state caregiving implementation grants.
This webinar will cover:
- Updates from the Administration for Community Living on actions the agency is taking to support family caregivers
- A philanthropic foundation’s initiatives to improve the lives of older adults and the family caregivers who provide care for them
- New state promising practices to support family caregivers from state teams in California, Maryland, Massachusetts, and Wisconsin
