Anna Lipton Galbraith

Anna Lipton Galbraith is a director at the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP), where she supports the organization’s portfolio of work on maternal and family health. In her role, she leads projects that support state policy work related to strengthening perinatal systems of care, improving maternal health outcomes, addressing maternal health disparities, and increasing access to contraceptive care. Prior to joining NASHP, Anna worked for 7 years as a policy researcher, evaluator, and project director with an applied research center at the University of Texas, where she partnered with state agencies and nonprofit organizations to conduct mixed methods program evaluations and research related to child and family policy. During this time Anna worked on a range of policy issues related to supporting healthy children and families, including early childhood development and maternal health, child welfare, and adolescent reproductive health. Most recently, Anna developed and led the policy department for a leading social care referral platform, building out and leading policy analysis and research to support the technology company’s partnerships with state government. Anna holds a master’s degree in public affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin.
