State Levers to Promote Lead Screening and Treatment: Rhode Island’s Strategies
Addressing lead hazards today generates future economic benefits and improved health outcomes for children. In partnership with the Health Resources and Services Administration, the National Academy for State Health Policy is publishing a series of case studies highlighting effective state initiatives to promote lead screening and treatment. This study explores how Rhode Island has used various levers to reduce the rate of childhood lead poisoning.
