Webinar: Promoting Oral Health Workforce Innovation in California
As policymakers across the nation grapple with oral health care access challenges, California has implemented a number of policies that states can consider to enable their Medicaid plans and providers to deliver oral health services in innovative ways. During this NASHP webinar, supported by the US Health Resources and Services Administration, California officials review relevant components of their state’s 1115 waiver, specifically the Dental Transformation Initiative and Local Dental Pilot Projects (LDPPs). They also highlight complementary state efforts to promote oral health workforce innovations, often through Medicaid and public health agency collaboration. A representative from an LDPP shares an on-the-ground perspective of oral health workforce innovation.
