CMS’s Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) Children’s Oral Health Initiative (OHI) on Value-Based Payment (VBP) is hosting a national webinar at 2-3:15 p.m. (ET), Tuesday, August 27, 2019 to showcase the support provided, successes, and key takeaways of the three participating states: Washington, DC, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
During this webinar, representatives from these Medicaid agencies will describe their process of implementing VBP and contracting approaches to incentivize reductions in adverse children’s oral health care outcomes (e.g., caries, emergency department utilization). The webinar presenters will describe their processes for defining a project aim and metrics, successes to date, strategies used to overcome barriers, and considerations required (e.g., stakeholder engagement, methods for data collection and analysis) to implement VBP. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in a facilitated question-and-answer (Q&A) session.
