Faced with costly and effective treatment for hepatitis C, states are exploring innovative alternative payment methodologies (APMs) to expand access to treatment and generate savings. Using a Netflix-style subscription model, Louisiana and Washington are negotiating agreements with drug manufacturers to get unlimited access to hepatitis C drugs for a fixed, predetermined cost.
