State-Only Webinar: State Strategies for Setting Upper Payment Limits for Costly Prescription Drugs

Setting upper payment limits (UPLs), which establish a maximum amount that a payer can reimburse for the purchase of certain prescription drugs in a state, is a powerful tool for addressing high prescription drug costs.

NASHP has released several legislative models that enable states to set UPLs, including through prescription drug affordability boards, international reference rates, and Medicare reference rates. Webinar participants will learn about NASHP’s UPL models and hear from state officials with implementation experience in Colorado and Maryland.

Please note: This webinar is open to state officials only.
