Despite the relationship between oral health and chronic diseases such as dementia, cardiovascular disease, HIV, and diabetes, dental and health care delivery systems have historically operated in silos. With new attention and federal momentum on the prevention and management of chronic disease, state officials can align efforts to improve both dental and overall health outcomes by supporting integration of oral health and chronic disease interventions across community and health care settings.
Please join the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) on Tuesday, April 22, 3:30 – 4:30 pm ET, for a webinar highlighting how states are taking a whole person approach to improving oral health and chronic disease outcomes.
