Jacob Thayil joined NASHP in June 2024 as a research analyst with the Aging and Disability and Behavioral, Population, and Public Health teams. He currently works on projects related to family caregiving, managed long-term services and supports, and health equity. Prior to joining NASHP, he held internship roles at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, Center for Medicare Advocacy, and National Disability Rights Network, where he worked primarily in Medicaid and Medicare policy. Jacob graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2024 with a BSPH in Health Policy and Management and a minor in Public Policy.
