About the Conference
The NASHP Annual Conference will take place at the Hilton Midtown, on September 28–30, 2026 .
We welcome all who are invested in advancing excellence in state health policy to join us at the NASHP Annual Conference 2026 and benefit from the educational sessions and networking opportunities.
Each year, state health policymakers representing all branches of government and from all 50 states and DC join us at our conference. We’re also joined by federal and local government officials, advocates, consultants, and students, as well as people working for nonprofits, health plans, and other organizations that focus on state health policy.
Planned by state health policymakers for state health policymakers, NASHP’s annual conference is a must-attend event for the state health policy community. With a carefully crafted agenda focusing on emerging issues and current best practices within states, our conference brings together the nation’s leading experts to share, learn, and discuss.

Business attire is recommended during conference hours.
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be provided. You can view the network name and password in the conference app.
No, unfortunately, NASHP does not currently offer Continuing Education Units for sessions attended during the annual conference.
Conference presentations will be available to registered attendees via the conference app. The conference app will be available one week before the start of the conference.
Yes, our conference hashtag is #NASHPCONF26. Use this hashtag to engage with fellow conference attendees and for a chance to be retweeted or shared by our official NASHP social media accounts.

Registration
The cost varies based on your company or organization type and the portion of the conference you wish to attend (state-only preconference, annual conference only, or the entire event). View the various ticket types and associated registration fees.
Conference registration fees should be paid in full within 30 days of your registration submission. Registration fees can be paid by credit card or by check.
To pay by credit card:
If you’d like to pay by credit card, please access your online registration using the instructions below:
- From the registration summary page, click the Already Registered link under the blue registration button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
- Enter the email address that you used to register for NASHP’s Annual Conference and your registration confirmation number, which was included in your registration confirmation email. Can’t find your confirmation email? Use the Forgot your confirmation number link to have it resent via email.
- Once you’ve accessed your attendee profile, scroll to the bottom of the webpage and select Submit Payment. Complete all required fields and click Submit at the bottom of the page before exiting. You will receive a payment confirmation via email.

Yes! Follow the steps below to update the attendee information.
- From the registration summary page, click the Already Registered link under the blue registration button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
- Enter the email address that you used to register for NASHP’s Annual Conference and your registration confirmation number, which was included in your registration confirmation email. Can’t find your confirmation email? Use the Forgot your confirmation number link to have it resent via email.
- Once you’ve accessed your attendee profile, scroll to the bottom of the webpage and select Transfer Registration. Enter the new attendee’s name and email and submit. You will be asked to confirm that transfer of your registration a second time before the transfer is complete as this action cannot be reversed once complete.
- The attendee whom you’ve transferred your registration to will receive an email notification.
Need to make changes to your registration? Follow these steps:
- From the registration summary page, click the Already Registered link under the blue registration button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
- Enter the email address that you used to register for NASHP’s Annual Conference and your registration confirmation number, which was included in your registration confirmation email. Can’t find your confirmation email? Use the Forgot your confirmation number link to have it resent via email.
- Once you’ve accessed your attendee profile, scroll to the bottom of the webpage and select Modify Registration to make your edits.
- You must click the Next button at the bottom of each page until you reach the final registration page where you will click Submit. Your changes will not be saved unless you review each registration page and submit at the end.
Scholarship opportunities are not available.
If you wish to cancel your registration on or before Friday, August 21st, 2026, NASHP will refund the registration cost, less a $50 cancellation fee. No refunds will be provided for registrations canceled after Friday, August 21st, 2026.
If you register and cannot attend, another person from your organization may attend in your place.
Hotel cancellation policies are at the discretion of the hotel and apply separately.
NASHP is committed to making our events accessible to everyone. If you require an accommodation or service to fully participate, please submit your requests through the registration form by the Early Bird Deadline August 21, 2026. We will follow up directly with you to ensure that your needs are met.
Accommodations requested after the Early Bird Deadline cannot be guaranteed, but we will make all reasonable efforts to fulfill late requests.
Braille and large print agendas are available upon request at the registration desk.

Travel and Lodging
Yes, the official conference hotel is the New York Hilton Midtown.
Yes! NASHP has worked with the Hilton Midtown Hotel to provide conference attendees with a nightly rate of $359 plus taxes.
The room block is open, and available until September 1, 2026 (while supplies last)
No! NASHP and the New York Hilton Midtown will never contact you to request credit card numbers or housing reservations over the phone. Please be aware that third-party housing companies may contact NASHP conference attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors to promote lodging for our annual conference but they do not work for NASHP or the New York Hilton Midtown in any way.
If you are contacted by anyone who states they are contacting you on behalf of NASHP or the New York Hilton Midtown to book reservations and obtain credit card information, it is a scam. Please exercise extreme caution.
