Join NASHP for a state-only webinar on the evolving landscape of pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) oversight at the state and federal levels.
State and federal governments continue to seek increased PBM transparency for their own purchasing and on behalf of employers and consumers. New state and federal laws require PBM disclosures of manufacturer rebates on individual drugs, health plan payments to pharmacies, and more to better understand consumers’ ultimate cost for prescriptions.
The discussion will highlight state approaches aimed at improving PBM practices and ensuring oversight. After an overview of the PBM provisions within the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2026 and the Department of Labor’s proposed rule addressing PBM transparency and compensation for ERISA plans, a state leader will reflect on their state’s approach to advancing PBM oversight. Through this state-only discussion, participants will also explore how emerging federal changes may shape state strategies moving forward.
