Webinar: Can States Regulate Rx Costs without Violating Patent Law?

2:30 to 3:30 p.m. (EST) Thursday, March 29

When states regulate prescription drugs like public utilities, are they violating federal patent law? Pharmaceutical companies say yes. A team of legal experts from the University of California Hastings College of the Law says no. NASHP, which has created model legislation to help states rein in rapidly rising drug costs, asked expert Robin Feldman, director of the Institute for Innovation Law at Hastings, to discuss whether state drug rate-setting legislation violated patent law and answer questions. This webinar is open to state officials only. Contact Corinne Alberts (calberts@nashp.org) with any questions.
