August 21-23, 2019 / Chicago, IL
This session offers new policy ideas for controlling drug prices. The proposals will be based on deliberations by NASHP’s Pharmacy Cost Work Group, the group who developed the “Call to Action” on drug prices in 2016. Since then, other policies have emerged, including new strategies for regulating pharmacy benefit managers, leveraging state purchasing power, and reducing consumers’ out-of-pocket costs. This late-breaking session will feature recent policy developments emerging from 2019 state legislative sessions. Come and try these new, hot, out-of-the-oven recipes to cut drug costs.
