Incentivizing Healthy Behaviors and Personal Responsibility: What Have We Learned?
Wednesday, October 19th
Chronic diseases are a major contributor to healthcare spending, leading policy makers to focus on promoting healthy behaviors such as smoking cessation, weight loss and well-care to help prevent and better control costly conditions. This session will highlight different state strategies and experiences to date with incentivizing healthy behaviors and increasing personal responsibility for wellness. Speakers will describe approaches implemented as part of Medicaid expansion, grants or other initiatives, including Medicaid Incentives for Prevention of Chronic Diseases (MIPCD).
This session is supported in part by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
