Churn, when enrollees cycle on and off or across different types of coverage, is an instability nightmare not only for individuals and families but also for states’ health insurance coverage programs. As coverage landscapes change, state health officials will need to revisit and develop new strategies for mitigating churn. Learn about efforts in Minnesota, Louisiana and Washington that range from tried and true retention strategies to establishing new opportunities that reduce gaps in coverage for individuals and families.
