Madeline Marks

Madeline Marks joined NASHP in 2019 as a research analyst with the Chronic and Vulnerable Populations Team. She was involved in a variety of projects that focus on mental health and substance use disorder, services for older adults, and payment and system delivery information. Before joining NASHP, Madeline was a James H. Dunn Fellow with the Illinois Governor’s office, where she worked in the Office of Federal Relations, serving as a liaison between state and federal governments. She graduated from Union College, with a BA in sociology and science, medicine, and technology, and a minor in political science. Her thesis explored the social construct of illness, focusing on how society shapes the way people view physical and mental illnesses.
