A Little More Help Please? Improving Assisted Living

Assisted living remains an important setting in the continuum of care for older adults, however, models of assisted living, state regulation of, and Medicaid coverage for services delivered in assisted living facilities vary enormously across states. This session features a panel of state officials who are working to meaningfully integrate assisted living into their long-term care systems and optimize the care delivered in these settings. Highlighted strategies include reimbursement, licensure, and quality improvement and administrative oversight.
