Quality & Performance Measurement
Quality and performance measurement is key to improving value in the health care system, because you cannot improve what you cannot measure. NASHP realizes the importance of quality and performance measurement and strives to provide states with best practices in quality and performance measurement so that states can achieve their ultimate goal of improving population health. We have collaborated several organizations such as the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to study quality measures and performance measurement data to provide states with an analysis of where improvements can be made.
The materials featured in this section include a series of studies, briefs, webinars, and other publications examining performance measurement and quality improvement efforts happening across the nation. These resources were created to help states understand what is working well in the field by learning from each other’s successes.
